Happy 2018, Daytona Beach Students:
If you are returning, welcome back! If this is your first semester at Embry-Riddle, welcome! The Career Services team is ready to get this semester going so we can begin preparing you for the summer internship application process, our Spring Industry/Career Expo (February 7th), Fall Industry/Career Expo (October 11th), and the many on-campus recruiting and programming activities that will take place this year.
New and improved is the theme for 2018. In late spring/early summer, we will be launching an exciting new career management system that you are going to love! And by fall we will be in our new location on the third floor of the new Student Union. The team will spend time this summer planning out fresh new events for our new space that will allow you to engage more freely with employers and with us.
I am also very excited to share that there will be no classes on October 11th, the day of our Fall Industry/Career Expo! With around 100 companies and nearly 3,000 students and alumni attending the event, we know it can be tough to visit every company of interest. This will give you more time to spend at the Expo and hopefully allow you to focus exclusively on your job or internship search that day.
Please come visit us in our existing space in SC-250 or drop by one of our many Career Services Pop-Ups in the Colleges, residence halls, and downstairs in the Student Center. We have a team of professionals who are committed to helping you succeed in your search for the perfect opportunity regardless of whether you are a first year student, a senior, a grad student, or somewhere in between.
You can also connect to our team, career information, and resources anytime through the Career Services website, this blog, email, or any of our social media channels. We are on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Find out where grads go by checking our #EaglesHired feed on Instagram and Twitter, and visit Twitter for our Internship of the Day, New Grad Job of the Day, and Mid-Career/Experienced Job of the Day postings. We will also have all of our upcoming presentations and information sessions on Facebook.
On behalf of the Daytona Beach Career Services team, I wish you a successful semester!

Hello from Prescott Career Services,
Welcome back for the start of Spring Semester 2018. What a great time to be on campus and take stock of where you are at as a student. With the start of a new semester what better time to adapt a few short term goals that you can focus on over the next few months to help secure a summer internship, study abroad or full time job. Hopefully you have had time to regenerate, refocus, and come back to Prescott with enthusiasm and passion to make this semester a great one.
Here in career services our mission is to help support, empower and educate you to be active participants in your career development process. Our goal is to build engaging and beneficial relationships with alumni, employers and graduate schools to bring as much opportunity to you for securing internship, research and full time job opportunities. However, we are just one avenue in helping make this happen for you. Just as there are many ways to enter a house there are many ways to search for and find opportunity. Career fairs, quality online job sites, LinkedIn, direct company contact e-introductions, and alumni referrals are just a sample of ways one should be utilizing to secure opportunities.
If you have not visited our new location on campus yet, please stop by the STEM building second floor. This Is a perfect time to meet and get to know your manager, Darren Hudak, email@example.com College of Aviation, Judy Segner, firstname.lastname@example.org College of Arts and Science , College of Security and Intelligence, and Laura Polk, email@example.com College of Engineering, we would love to visit with you and be a viable resource for you. Being new to Embry-Riddle I would also love to talk with you, get to know you better, learn of your goals and aspirations which in turn would help me pick up and learn the Embry-Riddle culture.
Have a great Spring Semester and I look forward to being part of your Embry-Riddle Prescott family.
