Discuss your background prior to starting at ERAU.
I have held various positions prior to ERAU. I worked for the FedEx family for 14 years. I started out as a courier and segued into the office as a customer service agent. After 7 years of that I switched over to FedEx Office where I worked as a shipping specialist and did that for another 7 years. In addition, I was also working for the City of Port Orange. I held a few different hats while I was employed there. I worked in Utilities, Human Resources, Public Utilities, and finally a Budget Analyst in the Finance Department.
What is your current role within ERAU’s Career Services?
I am currently a Project Manager in Career Services in which I assist our graduate students and alumni.
What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is being able to interact with the students as well as several departments within our organization. I feel that we are here to help and educate and be the “go to” person for students while they are looking for their dream job. The fact that I can be a part of that journey is amazing.
What is your favorite quote?
“If you don’t like starting over, then stop giving up.”
What is a unique fact about you?
I felt an earthquake while I was living in California for a short period of time. Very scary!
What are some of your hobbies when not working?
I love to walk on the beach, go to concerts even if it is a tribute band, and just listen to music while I bee bop around my house cleaning.
