How do I register for Handshake as an employer?
Handshake offers a thorough article describing how to register and get started. Make sure you select Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as one of your schools. Once you’ve requested to connect with ERAU, it can take 1-4 days to approve your account.
I registered for Handshake and am waiting on approval. What can I do to get approved?
Please read Handshake’s article on best practices for getting approved at schools.
Why hasn’t my employer account at Embry-Riddle been approved yet?
Under normal circumstances it typically takes 1-4 days to process pending employer approval requests. If your request is not complete in this time frame, please log into Handshake and check your notifications for any comments on your registration. If the registration is incomplete (e.g., there is no web site address or the email domain does not match your company), there can be a delay in approval.
If you have an urgent need to post a job or internship listing for Embry-Riddle students and alumni, please contact us at email@example.com or 386-226-6054 and we will gladly assist.
I registered as a new user for my employer and I’m waiting for someone to approve me. How do I get approved by my employer?

I’m trying to add Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as a school but I can’t find it in Handshake.
Be sure you are writing out the entire name of the university. It is best not to search by region, but by all Handshake schools because of our multiple locations.
I joined the wrong company. How do I fix this?
Read this Handshake article for assistance on how to switch to the correct organization.
How do I create a job posting?
I created a job posting but now I can’t find it.
Your job will not actually post to a school and show up under Job Postings until your account is approved at that particular school. You should be able to find all jobs under Postings > Jobs > All.
I created a job posting but I’m not getting any applications. What can I do?
Make sure you have a descriptive job title, e.g., Customer Service Assistant instead of just Assistant. The job duties and qualifications should be clear and specific. Handshake uses machine learning to help match candidates to jobs so the more descriptive you are, the better. To help you promote the position, we also suggest sharing it in the Embry-Riddle Career Services LinkedIn group.
How do I register for the Industry/Career Expo?
